Thousand Oaks Classic Home Remodel

This Berkeley Hills Italian style home required significant corrective work due to past poor remodeling efforts. The new homeowners  took advantage of this opportunity to introduce dramatic designs, constructed in two phases, and resulting in a harmonious whole house renovation. McCutcheon craftsmen collaborated with the owners and designers to create custom features, including a shell sink and mirror crafted from natural sea shells.

Russian Hill High Rise Apartment Remodel

The interior of this apartment was completely demolished and reconstructed, requiring thoughtful coordination with building neighbors. Curved walls, floor to ceiling windows and electrochromic windows (‘smart’ glass) highlight the breathtaking view, as well as the owner’s art collection. This project won a National First Place Contractor of the Year award (2014), and has been featured in magazines and newspapers.

LEED Platinum Home Remodel

This whole house renovation integrated cutting edge power, water conservation and indoor air quality features while restyling the house as a modern mid-century family home. This project earned LEED Platinum certification, as well as an award from the City of Piedmont for the Best Green Renovation.
